The agreement between you and us. Untangle is operated by Rezilium The Institute for Mental Resilience Pty Limited (ABN 52 123 045 009), trading as Untangle, a company registered in New South Wales, Australia. Please read these terms before using the app.
Rezilium The Institute for Mental Resilience Pty Limited (ABN 52 123 045 009), trading as Untangle ("Untangle", "Let's Untangle", "we", "our" or "us") operates an artificial intelligence (AI) guided communication and relationship-resilience tool, available at letsuntangle.co and through our mobile applications (the "Service"). The Service helps people prepare for and hold difficult conversations, whether with a partner, a colleague, or as private self-reflection, using established communication frameworks. The in-app guide, "Tara", is an AI. The Service delivers reflective prompts, communication skills, and general educational content through AI-generated text.
The Service is built on The Art of WinWin Conversations by Kamal Sarma (Rezilium), alongside publicly established communication methods. Untangle is a communication skills and general wellbeing tool. It is not a health service.
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
The Service is provided for general communication skills, self-help, and educational purposes only, and is not intended, designed, or implied to:
No content provided through the Service should be treated as medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, counselling, legal, crisis, or emergency advice.
Untangle is not a licensed medical, mental health, counselling, or legal provider. Untangle:
Tara operates using artificial intelligence built on Anthropic's Claude. Responses are generated by algorithms based on training data and your inputs. You acknowledge that:
Untangle does not provide emergency or crisis services and is not obligated to:
The Service includes automated checks that may pause a session and display crisis resources when certain phrases appear in what you write. These checks are automated only: they can miss or misread situations, no person reviews them in real time, and they create no obligation, and no expectation, of detection, response, or escalation by Untangle.
If you are in crisis, feel unsafe, are considering self-harm, or need immediate help, do not rely on Untangle. In Australia:
You acknowledge and agree that you will not rely on Untangle for emergency or crisis support, and that using the Service creates no expectation of any emergency response.
Untangle is a tool for good-faith conversations between people who are both safe to have them. It is not designed for, and must not be used as, a response to abuse, coercive control, intimidation, or fear for your safety. If your relationship involves any of these, please stop and contact 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) or the crisis resources above, and seek help from qualified people. Do not use the Service to attempt to reason with, appease, or manage someone who makes you feel unsafe.
You must always consult a qualified, licensed professional regarding any medical or mental health concern, diagnosed condition or treatment, thoughts of self-harm or harming others, situation involving abuse, violence, or fear, or legal question about your relationship, family, or employment. You agree that you will never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something experienced through the Service, and that you will not treat interactions with Tara as consultation with a professional.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and assume the risk that it may not help you or improve a relationship or conversation, that Tara's suggestions may be unsuitable or mistaken for your situation, that a hard conversation may be difficult and its outcome is not within our control, that the Service may be unavailable or contain errors, and that relying on the Service instead of a qualified professional may not serve you.
When you use the Service, you may provide, and we collect, the words you write in your sessions with Tara, your onboarding answers (such as your first name, the other person's first name, how long you have known them, and the topic), any invitation message you send, and, where relevant, the other person's response. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.
The Service invites you to describe conversations and situations that involve other people (for example a partner, family member, or colleague) who may not be users of the Service and who have not agreed to these Terms. You are responsible for what you choose to share. You agree to share information about others only as reasonably necessary to use the Service for your own reflection and preparation, not to use the Service to harass, defame, threaten, surveil, impersonate, or manipulate any person, and that when you choose to send a message to another person through the Service, that decision and its consequences are yours.
You acknowledge that Tara's replies and suggestions are generated by AI, that you are interacting with an automated system rather than a person, and that the Service does not connect you with a human professional.
You may create an account to access the Service (including by email magic link or Google sign-in). You agree to provide accurate and current information, keep your login credentials and access to your email confidential, be responsible for all activity under your account, and notify us promptly at kailash@letsuntangle.co of any unauthorised access. One person per account. You may close your account at any time from your account page.
We may refuse registration, or suspend or terminate your account, if you breach these Terms, provide false information, use the Service unlawfully or abusively, use it in a way that poses a risk to you or others, or where we are required to by law.
You may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You must not:
Untangle and its licensors (including Kamal Sarma and Rezilium in respect of The Art of WinWin Conversations) own all intellectual property rights in the Service and its content, including Tara's prompts and responses, text, curriculum, card decks, exercises, software, designs, trademarks, and branding. Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works from, sell, licence, or lease any part of the Service, or remove any intellectual property notices.
You retain ownership of the words you write. Section 8 explains the limited permission you give us to operate the Service.
You own what you write in the Service. You grant Untangle a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your content only as needed to operate the Service for you: to let Tara help you, to carry a message to another person when you choose to send it, to keep you signed in, to manage your membership, and to understand, in aggregate and de-identified form, whether the Service is helping people.
You warrant that you have the rights necessary to share the content you provide and that it does not violate any third party's rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Untangle and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or any third party's rights, or any content you submit or send through the Service. This indemnity does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by our own wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all materials are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express, implied, or statutory. Untangle does not warrant that:
No advice or information obtained from the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in this section limits the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded (see Section 12).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Untangle and its suppliers and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, or for any relationship breakdown, emotional distress, or harm, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service, regardless of the legal theory and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Unless prohibited by law, Untangle's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) AUD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Our Service comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under that law. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and permits us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee (other than certain guarantees whose limitation the law does not allow), our liability is limited, at our election, to resupplying the Service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
We may modify, enhance, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will say so plainly in the Service rather than bury it, and update the date below. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, use the Service unlawfully or abusively, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from your account page. Deleting your account removes your sessions, statements, and invitations from our active systems, subject to records we are required to retain by law (for example financial records) and data already de-identified and aggregated. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, and any provision that by its nature should survive, will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. Before starting proceedings, we ask that you contact us at kailash@letsuntangle.co with details of your concern and allow 30 days for us to try to resolve it. Nothing in this section limits our ability to seek urgent relief, or your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
